Senator WALSH (Minister for Resources and Energy)(5.27) —I think perhaps I should explain that procedurally it seems to me that the tidiest thing to do is not to oppose the motion to report progress. If that motion is carried-since the Opposition has remained silent I presume it will support it-I will move that resumption of the debate be made an order of the day for the next day of sitting. I expect that Senator Jack Evans will then move an amendment to that. It is at that stage that the Government's effective opposition will be demonstrated.
