(Question No. 802)

Senator Foreman asked the Minister representing the Minister for Employment and Industrial Relations, upon notice, on 3 April 1984:

(1) How many community employment program (CEP) projects have been approved in the following South Australian Federal electorates: (a) Adelaide; (b) Barker; (c ) Bonython; (d) Hawker; (e) Hindmarsh; (f) Grey; (g) Boothby; (h) Kingston; (i) Port Adelaide; (j) Sturt; and (k) Wakefield.

(2) What has been the total amount allocated to CEP projects in each electorate .

(3) How many unemployed persons have been employed on CEP projects in each electorate.

Senator Button —The Minister for Employment and Industrial Relations has provided the following answer to the honourable senator's question:

The following table shows statistics of approved projects under both Commonwealth and State/Territory components of CEP from each electorate as at 31 May 1984. The statistics for (3) show the number of jobs proposed in respect of approved projects as detailed placement data are not yet available.
