Senator GARETH EVANS (Attorney-General) —I present an exposure report for the consideration of senators and members from the Joint Select Committee on Parliamentary Privilege, together with minutes of proceedings and the transcripts of evidence from 3 August 1982 to 10 November 1982. I seek leave to make a statement in connection with the report.

Senator GARETH EVANS —The Committee has decided to present this exposure draft so that it may obtain the views of senators and members, and others, on the wide range of recommendations contained therein. The Committee will then be able to take such reactions on board before presenting a final report, which it hopes to do early in the Budget sittings. I seek leave to incorporate the remainder of my tabling statement in Hansard.
