Senator TOWNLEY —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That the Senate is of the opinion that the assets test proposed by the socialist Leader of the Government, Mr Hawke, will-

(a) lead to an army of investigators with the power to examine all of a pensioner's assets, including rights to examine what a person has within his or her house;

(b) result in social security officer entering many of a pensioner's details on a computer; and

(c) be a gross invasion of privacy for people least able to defend themselves-

and therefore should be dropped.
