Senator LAJOVIC —My question is addressed to the Minister representing the Treasurer. In view of the fact that the Australian Press has recently focused its attention on the huge amount owed to Western banks by the Third World, developing countries and Soviet bloc countries and their problems in repaying the loans, I ask the Minister whether he can provide the Senate with an as accurate as possible analysis, country by country, of their total debts and repayment obligations.

Senator WALSH —I certainly cannot do that off the top of my head. Somebody suggested I should therefore talk about the Sinclair-Peacock coalition Opposition, but I presume Senator Lajovic means international debt and not total debt. I expect that such information could be obtained and I will endeavour to obtain it.
