Senator HARRADINE —by leave-If consideration is seriously being given to sitting for a fourth week, I suggest that the Monday of that fourth week not be a sitting day. The whole point is that we will then have sat for four weeks with only one day in our electorate offices.

Motion (by Senator Ryan for Senator Button) agreed to:

(1) That, unless otherwise ordered-

(a) the Senate meet on Wednesday, 6 June 1984, as follows:

10.00 a.m.-12.45 p.m.

2.00 p.m.- 6.30 p.m.

8.00 p.m.-10.30 p.m.; and

(b) the Sessional Order relating to the adjournment of the Senate have effect at 10.30 p.m. on that day.

(2) That, unless otherwise ordered-

(a) the days and hours of meeting of the Senate for the remainder of the present period of sittings be:

Tuesday, 12 June 1984-

2.00 p.m.- 6.30 p.m.

8.00 p.m.-10.30 p.m.

Wednesday, 13 June 1984-

10.00 a.m.-12.45 p.m.

2.00 p.m.- 6.30 p.m.

8.00 p.m.-10.30 p.m.

Thursday, 14 June 1984-

10.00 a.m.- 6.30 p.m.

8.00 p.m.-10.30 p.m.

Friday, 15 June 1984-

9.00 a.m.-12.45 p.m.

2.00 p.m.- 4.15 p.m.;

(b) the Sessional Order relating to the adjournment of the Senate have effect at the terminating time each day; and

(c) the Sessional Orders relating to the conduct of business which apply for week one under the Sessional Order apply for the sitting week commencing 12 June 1984.

(3) That, unless otherwise ordered, Government Business take precedence of General Business for the remainder of the present period of sittings.
