Senator BOSWELL —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That the Senate-

(a) condemns the Federal Government's desire to deliberately destroy the cadet corps by scrapping funds as from 1 July 1984;

(b) notes the Federal Government's ability to undermine the cadet corps which play an essential role in developing leadership qualities, character building and fellowship, as well as fostering national pride; and

(c) condemns the Federal Government's contempt of opinion surveys in which the community indicated a 76 per cent support for cadet training for boys and a 56 per cent support for cadet training for girls.
