Senator MARTIN(10.57) —Senator Georges really has talked about two things. One is the provision of supplementary information to senators, including senators who are not members of an Estimates committee. The other is the conduct of Estimate committees. Senator Georges used the neutral gender during his speech and at one stage referred to he or she. I was a she who attended Senator Georges's Estimates Committe F, but there was also a he so I am not absolutely sure that he was talking about me, although he did take exception to some of the questions I asked. Some issues arose on Estimates Committee F, which was the Committee to which Senator Georges referred, that I had intended to raise in debate on Estimates Committee F. I just say now that I do not think it is desirable that we interpose that debate out of the context of Estimates Committee F but I could not let the comments go entirely unchallenged. I have contrary views to those just put by Senator Georges. Some very serious issues were raised in Estimates Committee F. Perhaps Senator Georges was foreshadowing a debate in the context of his Committee and I shall certainly join that debate when we get to Estimates Committee F.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
