Senator ARCHER(8.14) —I raise a matter of mechanics which has been raised with me several times, and this may be an appropriate opportunity to get an answer. Juveniles living away from home are generally requested by the places at which they stay or board to produce Medicare cards of their own. However, as they are juveniles they do not pay their own bills and the bills are sent to their parents, who pay them. However, the parents are unable to claim the refunds because the cards are not in their names. This is a ridiculous situation . Can the mechanics be tidied up?
