Aged Care

To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives

To be mandatory that all elderly people still living in their homes are to have air-conditioning installed for free of charge by the government. Elderly people have mentioned that the heat will be the death of them, and that it is quite unbearable to handle..

We therefore ask the House to Because of the death rates of elderly being higher in the summer then in the winter taken into accountability. We therefore are requesting action that it be made mandatory that the government installs airconditioning in elderly people's homes for free of charge. This could be for rentals or if they own their own home it could be installed at a discounted price to them.
