Dr Southcott asked the Minister for Employment Participation, in writing, on 13 November 2008:

(1)   Of jobseekers who are both categorised as stream 1 and recipients of payments for 0-3 months under the new Universal Employment Services for 2009-12, what proportion of these are expected to:(a) achieve an employment outcome prior to their skills assessment; and (b) be in employment at (i) 13 weeks, and (ii) 26 weeks.

(2)   Of these employment outcomes, what proportion is expected to be provider: (a) brokered, and (b) assisted.


Mr Brendan O’Connor (Minister for Employment Participation) —The answer to the honourable member’s question is as follows:

(1) (a)   As these are not payable outcomes, they are not separately modelled. (b) (i) and (ii) As these are not payable outcomes, they are not separately modelled.
