Mr HOWARD (Prime Minister) (2:00 PM) —Mr Speaker, I inform the House that the Minister for Science will be absent from question time today and for the remainder of the week. The minister is in Washington DC to lead a CSIRO delegation to BIO 2003 and will attend pre-event conference meetings. The Minister for Education, Science and Training will answer questions on his behalf. I also inform the House that the Minister for Foreign Affairs will answer questions on behalf of the Minister for Trade today and tomorrow.

The SPEAKER —While it is a formality, I should point out to the House that under standing order 106A members' statements time had concluded, and I was only waiting to recognise the member for Oxley when I called the Prime Minister. It being 2.01 p.m., I ask: are there any questions without notice?
