Mr McCLELLAND (11:48 AM) —The opposition is prepared to accept the government amendments, as I foreshadowed. We see it as being a constructive step on the government's part and we trust that, between now and the conclusion of the debate in the Senate, a similar approach will be taken to some of the other amendments which we have advanced in a positive sense to refine or improve the government's bill. But, in respect of this amendment at least, we see it as being constructive and appropriate and hence we will support it.

Amendments agreed to.
