Mr HOWARD (Prime Minister) (2:00 PM) —I inform the House that the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry will be absent from question time today. He is travelling to the flood stricken areas of North Queensland, together with the members for Kennedy, Leichhardt and Corio. The Minister for Forestry and Conservation will answer questions on his behalf.

I should also inform the House that the Minister for Transport and Regional Services will be a few minutes late for question time today as he is speaking at the Press Club. As a matter of courtesy, the member for Dickson, the relevant shadow minister, was informed of this. There is an understanding that any questions the opposition may wish to ask of that minister will be held until his return.
