Mr HAWKE (Prime Minister) —As a courtesy, I inform the House that the Leader of the House and Minister for Immigration and Ethnic Affairs (Mr Young) will be absent from Question Time today.

Mr Tuckey —Campaigning, is he?

Mr HAWKE —I am not quite sure what he is doing, but he will not be here. Any questions normally directed to him in relation to his portfolio, or as Minister representing the Special Minister of State in this chamber, should be addressed to the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs (Mr Holding). Questions that would be addressed to the Leader of the House should be addressed to the Deputy Prime Minister (Mr Lionel Bowen).
