To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled. The humble Petition of undersigned citizens of Australia respectfully showeth:

That we believe Reference to God should be made in the National Anthem, as Australia is considered to be a Christian Nation and therefore we (here state circumstances of case) believe inclusion of His name is appropriate and desirable.

Your Petitioners therefore humbly pray that the last line of each verse of the National Anthem be altered to read In Joyful Strains Then We All Sing (here state terms of action petitioned) God Bless Australia Fair.

And your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray.
