Mr MAHER —I seek leave to make a short personal explanation.

Madam SPEAKER —Does the honourable member claim to have been misrepresented?

Mr MAHER —Yes.

Madam SPEAKER —Please proceed.

Mr MAHER —During Question Time the honourable member for Mackellar (Mr Carlton) said that the question I asked yesterday was a dorothy dixer. That is not so. The Prime Minister (Mr Hawke) had absolutely no notice of the question I was going to ask.
