Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER (Mr Leo McLeay) —Madam Speaker has received a letter from the honourable member for Barker (Mr Porter) proposing that a definite matter of public importance be submitted to the House for discussion, namely:

The crushing impact of Labor's high tax and high interest rate policies on Australian families and their dream of owning their own home.

I call upon those members who approve of the proposed discussion to rise in their places.
