To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled.

We, the undersigned citizens of Australia, being concerned that the Federal Government is permitting a discrimination to continue in the training of Primary Teachers, in that the teacher-trainee students at Canberra College of Advanced Education and at Australian Universities are able to complete the four years of their Bachelor of Education award pre-service whilst teacher-trainee students at other Australian Colleges of Advanced Education are required to undertake the equivalent of a year's teaching following completion of a Diploma of Teaching before proceeding to the fourth year of the Bachelor of Education award, request that the Federal Minister of Education instructs the Commonwealth Tertiary Education Commission to end this discrimination so that all Colleges of Advanced Education are able to offer a pre-service fourth year in the Bachelor of Education for Primary teacher trainees.

And your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray.
