To the Honourable the Speaker and members of the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled.
The petition of concerned members of the public interested in natural therapeutic medicine respectfully showeth:
That there is no qualified Scientific Herbal researcher on the Government Committee as a representative from the Natural Therapy organisations.
Your petitioners therefore humbly pray that your Honourable House appoint a Scientific Herbal Researcher to the Government Committee investigating the proposed amendments to the National Register of Therapeutic Goods for Human use and that those individuals educated and actively involved in the use, manufacture, and prescription of natural substances for health care be represented on any committee and boards formed to consider matters related to natural therapies, and ask for a two year moratorium to evaluate these products.
And your petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.
