To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled. The humble petiton of the undersigned citizens of the Federal Division of Fisher respectfully showeth that:

The proposed capital gains tax penalises small business, discourages long-term investment, hinders capital formation and will freeze existing investment patterns and limits the investors' ability to adjust to changed market conditions.

Your petitioners humbly pray that the House of Representatives, in Parliament assembled, urge the Government to:

Immediately abandon its ill-considered capital gains tax proposal.

And your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray.
