Mr CONNOLLY —Has the Treasurer's attention been drawn to an article in the Australian Financial Review of 19 March referring to the Western Australian Government's Exim Corporation's alleged financial difficulties, including an unexplained interest payment of $2.8m? Will the Treasurer confirm, firstly, that he signed an instrument transferring $6m from the Commonwealth to the Western Australian Government; and, secondly, that the funds were for the purchase by the Exim Corporation of part of the Emanuel cattle leases for the Kimberley Aboriginal community? What conditions did he attach to the grant? Were they accepted by the Premier, Mr Burke, in writing prior to the transfer of funds in June 1986 and have the conditions been met?

Mr KEATING —I am not aware of all the issues raised in the honourable gentleman's question. This is typically a question for the Notice Paper, where he might put it.
