To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives in the Parliament assembled:

The petition of certain citizens of Victoria respectfully showeth:

That all legitimate business expenses incurred in earning or producing assessable income should be allowable taxation deductions;

That the Hawke Government's Fringe Benefits Tax is an unwarranted burden on the small business and rural sectors, which will severely affect their long term viability.

Your petitioners humbly pray that the Government withdraws the Fringe Benefits Tax legislation without delay.
