To the Honourable Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives. The humble petition of the undersigned citizens respectfully showeth:

That the proposed plan of Australia Post to transfer the Postmen from Goodwood Post Office to either Unley Post Office or Cowandilla Post Office is a retrograde proposal.

Already, we, in the main have to endure a shortage of delivery staff at the Goodwood Post Office; this in itself causes at most times late delivery of mail.

We honestly believe that the proposal to re-allocate the staff to either Unley or Cowandilla will further delay the delivery of mail.

That the proposed scheme will in fact create inefficiencies, if allowed, and would ultimately remove an individual's right in having their mail delivered expeditiously.

Your petitioners therefore humbly pray that you will take measures not to change the basic principles of the existing mail deliveries which function so effectively to our letter box.

And your petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.
