To the Honourable the Speaker and the Members of the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth in Parliament assembled. The humble petition of the undersigned citizens of Australia respectfully showeth that we strongly object to the Government's decision to sell Australia's uranium to France and elsewhere particularly in view of

all dangers to humankind inherent in the nuclear industry

continued nuclear bomb testing in the Pacific by France.

We regard the Government's proposed action as a complete negation of its stated policy for a Nuclear Free Pacific and demand that the uranium is not sold and that all uranium mining cease forthwith.

And your petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.
