In addition to review by the IRP, decisions made under the Migration Act 1958 are reviewed by the Adminstrative Appeals Tribunal, the Federal Court, the Minister and the Department. By far the largest of these categories are decisions reviewed in the light of representations to the Minister or the Department. It is estimated that 2500 cases were reviewed under this category during 1986 compared to about 2100 reviewed during 1985.
