Mr Cadman asked the Minister for Immigration and Ethnic Affairs, upon notice, on 22 August 1986:

(1) How many sponsorships and applications are currently awaiting determination at Australian migration offices overseas in respect of (a) family migration in (i) sub-categories A and B and (ii) sub-category C, (b) skilled labour and business migration for (i) skilled labour, (ii) employer nomination and (iii) business migrants, (c) independent and special migrants and (d) refugee and special humanitarian cases.

(2) What were the comparable figures (a) 3 months ago, (b) 6 months ago and (c) 12 months ago.

(1) & (2) The following table sets out the number of migrant entry applications awaiting determination at overseas posts at the end of June 1985, December 1985, March 1986 and June 1986.
