Mr HAWKE (Prime Minister) —As a matter of courtesy I advise the House that the Minister for Primary Industry (Mr Kerin) will be absent from Question Time today and the Minister for Arts, Heritage and Environment (Mr Cohen) will be absent from Question Time today and the House tomorrow.

Mr Sinclair —This is ridiculous! They ought to be here during Question Time.

Mr HAWKE —Have a look behind you!

Mr Sinclair —Your Ministers are in government.

Mr HAWKE —Calm down, Ian, your torment is nearly over.

Madam SPEAKER —Order! The Prime Minister will continue.

Mr HAWKE —The Minister for Trade (Mr Dawkins) will respond to any questions relating to the primary industry portfolio and questions relating to the arts, heritage and environment portfolio should be directed to the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs (Mr Holding).
