Mr STEELE HALL(12.05) —The Opposition is willing to co-operate in this matter. As the Special Minister of State (Mr Beazley) said, these are largely machinery measures and have desirable objectives. I find it rather surprising that at this late stage the Government has so many amendments on its list. With the long run-up to this issue that the Government's spokesmen and the Minister have had, one would have expected these matters to have been cleared up, finalised and settled when the Bill was printed for the House's initial consideration. In any event, we are happy to support the Government in this measure.
