Mr HODGMAN —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That this House-

(1) reaffirms that the upholding of parliamentary privilege is an essential element in any parliamentary democracy under the Westminster system, and

(2) expresses its disgust at the action of the Government in failing to list for debate on 10 November 1983, general business notice No. 1, standing in my name, and dealing with matters of parliamentary privilege relating to threats, harassment, improper pressuring and actual blackmail, against and of, Australian Labor Party members of this Parliament.
