Mr BLANCHARD —Mr Speaker, I seek your indulgence to make a personal explanation.

Mr SPEAKER —Does the honourable member claim to have been misrepresented?

Mr BLANCHARD —Yes, I do.

Mr SPEAKER —The honourable member may proceed.

Mr BLANCHARD —This arises out of a notice of motion given yesterday. I note that on page 2083 of the daily Hansard I am recorded as being the seconder of a motion of which notice was given by the honourable member for Denison (Mr Hodgman). I assure the House that I will not second that motion and I do not subscribe to the spirit of the motion. I wish to make that known to the House. I understand that the confusion has arisen because the honourable member for Denison had asked the honourable member for Ryan (Mr Moore), whose name happens to be that of my constituency, to be the seconder of the motion.
