Mr HOWARD —I wish to make a personal explanation.

Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER —Does the honourable member claim to have been misrepresented?

Mr HOWARD —Yes. During a very long answer in Question Time today the Prime Minister made a number of quite inaccurate statements. One of them was the claim -a quite dishonest claim by him-that I made no reference in my Press release today to the participation rate. That was quite untrue. I not only seek leave to have my Press release on the record unemployment rate incorporated into Hansard, I also call upon the Prime Minister (Mr Hawke) in accordance with his self- professed standards of decency to come into the House and apologise to me for dishonestly representing my position today.

Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER —Is the honourable member seeking to have that document incorporated in Hansard?

Mr HOWARD —Yes, I am seeking leave to have it incorporated.

Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER —Is leave granted?

Mr Dawkins —I will permit the Deputy Leader of the Opposition to have the document tabled, but not incorporated in Hansard.

Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER —Is leave granted to have the document tabled?

Leave granted.
