Mr KATTER —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That this House is of the opinion that there is an urgent need to significantly increase coastal surveillance in northern Australia, particularly in far north Queensland, in light of statements by a policeman from Mareeba reported in the Brisbane Sun of 13 October 1983 that at least two unchecked flights a week land in north Queensland, depositing illegal immigrants and drugs, before backloading with Australian native flora and fauna.
