Mr CADMAN —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That this House-

(1) condems the Government for its tardy and off-handed approach to a National Crimes Commission;

(2) acknowledges that there have been numerous inquiries into organised crime and drug trafficking, including Royal Commissions conducted by Commissioners Williams, Stewart, Woodward and Costigan, which have clearly identified the massive scope and scale of organised crime in Australia; and

(3) expresses its disappointment that a delay of over one year has occurred during which time no clear policy has emerged to deal with this all-pervading blight on our society.
