Mr Ronald Edwards asked the Minister for Administrative Services, upon notice, on 6 September 1983:

Is the Minister able to provide an analysis of claims for compensation resulting from repetitive strain injury in the Minister's Department for each of the years 1978 to 1983.


Mr John Brown —The answer to the honourable member's question is as follows:

My Department and statutory authorities within my portfolio have received 38 claims for compensation for repetitive strain injuries in the years 1978 to 1983 .

The following table shows an analysis of the total claims received for repetitive strain injury to date:
