Mr BILNEY —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That this House-

(1) congratulates the Government on its energetic, imaginative and businesslike approach to the promotion of the tourist industry in Australia, with all the potential that industry has for the generation of thousands of permanent and productive jobs for Australians;

(2) notes with pleasure the agreement of prominent Australians such as Mr Paul Hogan to put their considerable talents, free of charge, at the disposal of the Australian Government to assist in the promotion of this important industry; and

(3) expresses its confidence that these efforts will result in the achievement of the Government's objective of doubling tourist visitors to Australia by the 1988 bicentennial year.

The motion will be seconded by the honourable member for Tangey (Mr Gear).
