Mr RONALD EDWARDS —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That this House-

(1) congratulates the Government on its important initiatives in the housing industry;

(2) recognises the important part played by consultations with the States, the Housing Industry Association, the Master Builders Association, financial institutions, unions and the industry generally;

(3) urges that where possible further reductions in housing interest rates be considered by the financial community;

(4) urges moderation on price and wage movements by employers and unions; and

(5) supports modifications in the prescribed payments system designed to simplify paperwork in the payment of withholding tax.
