Discussion of Matter of Public Importance


Mr SPEAKER —I have received a letter from the honourable member for Boothby (Mr Steele Hall) proposing that a definite matter of public importance be submitted to the House for discussion, namely:

The Government's unwillingness to confront the problem of organised crime, including its failure to establish a National Crimes Commission.

I call upon those members who approve of the proposed discussion to rise in their places.
