Question No. 67


Mr McVeigh asked the Minister for Primary Industry, upon notice, on 4 May 1983:

(1) Has his attention been drawn to the decision of the Queensland Government to increase the price of milk to Queensland milk producers to meet higher feeding costs, caused by the drought.

(2) Is it a fact that the Victorian Government has not allowed such an increase ; if so, will he ask the Victorian Government to change its attitude on this matter in the interests of Victorian dairy farmers.


Mr Kerin —The answer to the honourable member's question is as follows:

(1) Yes.

(2) This is a matter for the Victorian Government.
