Mr HICKS —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move, and the honourable member for Wakefield (Mr Andrew) will second:

That this House-

(1) condemns the Government for its token gesture of reducing the iniquitous $2 .50 a litre indexed excise on grape spirit to $1.50 a litre, and

(2) calls on the Government to re-think its callous attitude to the wine grapegrowers of Australia and stand by its pre-election pledge that no tax or excise would be placed on wine.
