To the Honourable, the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled. The humble petition of the undersigned citizens of the Commonwealth of Australia respectfully showeth:

1. That, as tenants of public housing estates, we are concerned about the lack of security for people and property on estates.

2. The Ministry of Housing in Victoria states it can not improve security due to public service staff ceilings.

3. These ceilings are a direct result of insufficient Commonwealth funds being made available to the State of Victoria.

Your petitioners therefore pray that the Commonwealth increase the money available to the State of Victoria for public housing and your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray for your thoughtful consideration of their plea.
