Mr NIXON (Minister for Primary Industry) —Mr Deputy Speaker, may I have your indulgence to suggest that the House have a general debate covering this Bill, the Companies (Fees) Bill, the Companies (Transitional Provisions) Bill, the Companies (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill, the Crown Debts Priority) Bill, the Companies (Acquisition of Shares) Amendment Bill (No. 2), the Companies (Acquisition of Shares-Fees) Amendment Bill, the Securities Industry Amendment Bill (No. 2), the Securities Industry (Fees) Amendment Bill and the Companies and Securities (Interpretation and Miscellaneous Provisions) Amendment Bill (No. 2), as they are associated measures. Of course, separate questions will be put on each of the Bills at the conclusion of the debate.

Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER (Hon. Charles Jones) —Is it the wish of the House to have a general debate covering these ten measures? There being no objection, I will allow that course to be followed.
