Senator GEORGES (QUEENSLAND) - I refer the Acting Leader of the Government in the Senate to an answer by the Attorney-General to a question iD which he criticised the Press of prejudiced, slanted and selective reporting and of being answerable to no-one. Will he ask the Prime Minister to assure Australians that these illiberal statements do not express Government policy? Is he aware, as the 'Sydney Morning Herald' has clearly stated, that this reassurance is needed and will be expected?


Senator DRAKE-BROCKMAN - The honourable senator asks me whether I remember a question to which Senator Greenwood gave an answer last week. If I recall, Senator Greenwood answered about 70 questions in 2 days-

Senator DRAKE-BROCKMAN - Let me do a bit of homework on the question and I will give the honourable senator an answer.
