Senator MCCLELLAND (NEW SOUTH WALES) - I direct a question to the Minister for Customs and Excise. Is the Minister correctly reported as having said that the Federal Government has removed the ban on the import into Australia of the book "The Trial of Lady Chatterley "? If so, does this indicate a general relaxation of Government policy regarding censorship or has this action been taken in connection with this book because of its recent publication in Australia? May the public confidently expect that a number of other banned books will be released from censorship in the near future?
