Senator ARNOLD (NEW SOUTH WALES) - Can the Minister representing the Minister for Supply and Development say whether it is proposed to install special coal-conveying machinery at the coal dump at Newcastle? If so, what is the estimated cost? Before embarking on this proposal, is the Minister prepared to receive alternative suggestions from interested bodies in the north in regard to a more efficient and less costly system? Will the Minister give an assurance that this work will not be proceeded with until interested parties have had an opportunity to meet him and place their views before him?
