Senator Sir GEORGE PEARCE (Western Australia) (Minister for External Affairs) [3.43]. - We have listened to a very interesting disquisition from my colleague on the cement duties. As it is essential that all the facts should be given to the committee at the outset of this discussion, and as I have complied with the Standing Orders by intervening at this stage, I suggest that the PostmasterGeneral (Senator A. J. Mclachlan) be permitted to continue his speech.
