The PRESIDENT - Senator Longis under a misapprehension. When an honorable senator asks leave to continue his speech at a later date, the question that he have leave is put to the Senate without debate. Leave having been granted to Senator Needham, nothing could intervene to interfere with the right of the Minister to set down a future time for the resumption of the debate.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
