Senator NEEDHAM (Western Australia) . - I take advantage of the motion for the adjournment to ask the Minister representing the Minister of Home Affairs the following questions, in the hope that if he is not able to give me the information I require now he will possibly be able to do so prior to the special adjournment -

1.   How many mechanics aru employed in the depot at Kalgoorlie in connexion with the construction of the transcontinental railway f

2.   In what branches are they employed, and under what designation?

3.   Hare they served their apprenticeship to the trade in which they are now engaged';

4.   Prior to being engaged, did they present certificates showing that they have had experience in similar work?

5.   How many pairs of wheels belonging to the 40-ton bogie waggons from the Clyde Engineering Works, in New South Wales, are there?
