Mr NELSON (NORTHERN TERRITORY, NORTHERN TERRITORY) - Will the Minister for Territories say whether reports which indicate that the Government has agreed to extend the terms of existing pastoral leases in the Northern Territory for a further 50 years are correct? As these leases have at least 40 years to run now, would not an additional 50 years make them the longest term pastoral leases in existence in Australia? Further, if the reports are not correct, will the Minister say whether any other alterations to the existing leases have been agreed to?
