Mr FORBES (BARKER, SOUTH AUSTRALIA) - My question is directed to the Postmaster-General. I note that he is aware of the importance and urgency of proceeding to the next stage of television development with the greatest possible speed so that many people in country areas, including my constituents in the southeast of South Australia, may receive the benefit of it.

Mr Fairbairn - What about other areas?

Mr FORBES - And in the electorate of the honorable member for Farrer. In view of the variety of methods by which people in the next stage will receive television, will the Minister consider having the Australian Broadcasting Control Board canvass the views of responsible organizations in the areas concerned before recommending to the Government the pattern of the next stage?
